The Agroisolab GmbH is a spin-off of the Forschungszentrum J�lich and it was founded in 2002. It originates from the former stable isotope department of the Forschungszentrum J�lich GmbH (Research Centre J�lich) which was led by Prof. Dr. Förstel.
Prof. Dr. Förstel has been involved in the development of the stable isotope analytics in the area of food products since the 1980s. He continues to be active within the company as an adviser and a quality controller.
Accordingly Agroisolab GmbH can look back on more than 25 years experience in the area of stable isotope analytics.
The innovative application of stable isotopes as a possibility of authenticity assurance was appreciated as "Best Practice Example" in the framework of the
Agenda 21 in 2003 and was awarded the Forschungszentrum J�lich's technology prize.
