Agroisolab supports and works in a wide range of research areas.
The development of methods and databases for determining the origin of wild animals and their products is also a recurring topic of our research.
For example, Agroisolab has built up an extensive database of ivory and, as a result of this work, CEO Dr. Markus Boner is an appointed ivory expert in Germany.
Other key areas of work include the development of methods and databases for verifying the origin of sturgeon and caviar.
Agroisolab's methods can be used, for example, to detect wild caviar on the market. Initial results also show that it is possible to trace caviar back to the farm.
Agroisolab is always a helpful partner for research projects. This ranges from medical request, such as the calculation of body water with the help of stable isotope labelling, to questions about food chains and archaeological investigations such as the verification of the origin of old silk.
Therefore, Agroisolab is appointed as one of the few private laboratories worldwide with a CITES number.
Anyway, Agroisolab is always happy to support research and we regularly support research projects from universities and research institutions
